I hear the echo
Of words I use every day
Little plans I whisper
But they slowly fade away

I build them like castles
In the air above my head
They shimmer for a moment
Then dissolve in things unsaid

Empty promises I give to myself
Like some kind of prayer in the dark
I say them out loud like a spell
Hoping they'll finally start

Waiting for courage to grow
