When I was fifteen I dyed my hair black
at that time i thought that's all that I can make
so I can feel happy, cuz I knew that I was different
just like anybody else

Turning the volume up when I didn't feel like talking
headphones in my ears, everywhere I'm walking
shutting down the world, I didn't want to listen
cuz everywhere I've been doesn't seem to fit in

When I was twenty, I met someone
who told me that I can be who I want
I've tried to follow him, I wanted to be free
but I didn't know how to be me

I got back to the only life that I knew
stood in the quiet, be the good girl who
watching how the life just passes by
wondering if this is it,  then who am I

I was twenty-five when I decided that I can't
do this anymore, it's time, something must change
Running from my problems, hiding the mistakes
doesn't bring me joy, doesn't make me feel great
